At ITNCentralCT, we believe that sustainable transportation solutions should benefit everyone—riders, drivers, and the community. Our Innovative Payment Programs are designed to do just that. These programs not only support the long-term sustainability of our services, but also reward volunteer drivers with transportation credits they can use for themselves, their families, or others in need. From exchanging unused vehicles for ride credits to earning rewards through volunteer driving and community partnerships, our flexible payment options make it easier to give and receive the gift of mobility.

The Personal Transportation Account™ is one of the core business innovations of ITNAmerica, the parent organization of ITNCentralCT. It allows a member to store transportation assets in various forms – either as credit or cash. Credits may be earned as a volunteer driver, by trading a car for rides through the CarTrade™ program, as a birthday credit, or as a referral credit.
Cash may come from pre-payment, gift certificates, co-payments from participating merchants and healthcare providers, or from Ride Services accounts. ITN is a cashless system. Members who ride receive a statement once a month detailing the rides they have taken. Volunteer drivers also have Personal Transportation Accounts to store their credits and receive statements detailing their accumulated balances.
Having a close relationship with the local community ensures sustainability as population ages. Having a local base of support is critical to the success of ITNCentralCT. Local support comes from individuals and families to individuals and families in the local community.
Many older adults who no longer drive give their vehicle away. The CarTrade program at ITNCentralCT allows older adults to exchange their no-longer used vehicle for ride credits stored in their Personal Transportation Account ™. With the Car Trade program, members continue to benefit from the equity in their vehicle when they no longer drive.
Traded vehicles may be used in the ITNCentralCT fleet or sold for their value, to support the member’s Personal Transportation Account.
Friends and family may purchase ITNCentralCT gift certificates for birthdays, Mother’s Day, or any occasion. Call or contact us today to purchase a gift certificate.
A nationwide program that allows ITNCentralCT to provide no-cost rides for members going to eyecare treatments, screenings or yearly exams. This includes purchasing prescription glasses or contacts.
The HealthyMiles program allows local healthcare providers to help fund rides for patients. ITNCentralCT members can receive ride discounts when visiting these providers. See a list of participants here:
